The sperm is ejaculated in semen and the semen is quite thick. The problem is that once it's inside your body, the chemistry of the sperm changes and it becomes more like water - very thin. This<br />means that it comes out a little easier when it's thinner, especially if you stand up right away.<br /><br />Now, that's not to say that you can't get pregnant if you don't stay laying down for 20 minutes. If you've got a good amount of fertile cervical mucus, that mucus can help the sperm to be propelled up into the cervix because that's where the mucus is coming from. That means the sperm will travel in those channels through the opening in the cervix if there's a good amount of that "egg white" mucus.<br /><br />But...if you want to keep as many of those little guys in there as possible, which is super important when you are trying to get pregnant, it's best to stay laying down with hips propped and let gravity work for you, rather than against you ;-)<br /><br />Just try to empty your bladder before you make love so you won't feel like you need to get up and go right away. Also, I always use a cloth diaper (as I mentioned in my 2nd video) because it really helps to keep as much sperm in as possible.
